Top 10 Travel Hacks
Traveling can be rough, especially during the winter months where you are hauling extra clothing, navigating holiday travelers and avoiding cold and flu season. Thankfully, there are many great tips and tricks to help make your trip a little more stress-free. Here are a few of our favorites:
Top 10 Travel Hacks
1) On the plane, put your phone or tablet in a Ziploc bag and hang it on the tray table in front of you for watching movies that you have downloaded.
2) Store extra cords such as chargers in a sunglasses container to keep it organized and out of the way.
3) Put your razor in a binder clip - this will keep your razor and anything else from breaking or getting ruined!
4) When booking a flight, clear your browser history, cookies and cache. When you've been to the site before, they tend to raise the prices. This can be done different ways on many different browsers, but here is an example of Internet Explorer.
5) Save map sections for offline use if you type in "OK maps" into Google maps. Make sure to never get lost!
6) Check Foursquare before you leave to find all the WiFi spots and their passwords. People who have been there before often post the passwords online.
7) Keep valuables in old bottles - thieves are looking for wallets or loose cash, not a deodorant bottle!

8) When packing, wrap the bottom of your shoes in a shower cap to prevent the germs or dirt from spreading to the rest of your luggage.
9) If you want to bring a little bit of lotion or makeup, put it into contact lens cases. Better than bringing the whole bottle!
10) To keep necklaces from getting tangled, store them in a plastic straw, or if they are too big, seal them with saran wrap.
